Photograph album of portraits of Lewis and Sarah Ann Raines Pettyjohn and their family, taken from 1857-1878. The Pettyjohns came to Oregon in 1847 from Missouri and settled in what is now Silverton, Or. Many of the photographs depict Pettyjohn and Raines family members from Missouri and Indiana, where Sarah was born, as well as Oregon relatives. Photographers include Frank G. Abbell, Abell & Welsh, Joseph Buchtel, Buchtel & Stolte, Davidson Bros., and Bosco & Megler, all of Portland, Or. Includes tintypes and carte de visite.
